No. ShipStation is not a carrier or shipping company. ShipStation is a SaaS platform you can connect your postage provider accounts to so you can create the labels for your parcels. All parcels are shipped by those individual carriers.
ShipStation integrates with many carriers and postage providers, so you can use ShipStation to create labels for your preferred carriers. Please review their Carrier Integrations page to see which providers you can connect to ShipStation.oolbar.
Once a shipment has been picked up by the carrier, any change you wish to make to the shipment must be done directly with that carrier. There are no options within ShipStation to modify the shipment once it is on its way.
If you need to stop, redirect, or intercept a shipment, you will need to contact your carrier directly. Fees may apply for any changes made to a shipment that is already in transit to its destination.
Yes, ShipStation can send tracking information to your customers if you enable the shipment notification emails in the store's Notification settings.
This option is off by default since most selling channels also send shipment notifications to your customers. ShipStation automatically notifies your selling channel when an order ships. This notification includes the tracking information as well, which your selling channel can pass on to your customer. However, you may want to use ShipStation's notifications instead so you can maintain control of all of your shipment notifications in one place and use ShipStation's notifications templates and customization features.
If you need a receipt for a specific label you purchased, locate the shipment in ShipStation's Shipments tab, and copy the tracking number. Then, contact ShipStation support, request a Transaction Details Report, and provide the tracking number for each shipment you need the receipt for.
Support will attach each Transaction Details Report to their response.
No. Your postage is purchased through your connected postage provider accounts, not through ShipStation.
No, not as soon as they are placed. When the automatic import option is enabled on your store, ShipStation makes periodic calls to the selling channel to request orders. This option is enabled by default for all stores and can be found in each store's Store Settings tab.
The interval between these requests is based on an algorithm and is determined by a number of factors including the volume of orders imported from the store. At this time, automatic imports cannot be scheduled or customized.
You can also manually initiate order imports any time you like by clicking the import button Import icon, or Refresh-stores icon. Grey circular arrow symbol (clockwise), inside of a black square in your ShipStation toolbar.
