Nature's One introduced the first organic baby formula in 1999, and they set out to improve on the existing nutritional science and guidelines. They already knew that organic is not only better for children's health because it reduces their exposure to harmful chemicals, but it also tastes better, which is especially important for picky eaters.
They initially chose brown rice syrup for their formulas because it provides sustained energy, does not cause insulin spikes, and is far healthier than other sugars and corn syrup.
