All Customers of Humanscale must either pay through the website or complete a credit application, with current information, which must be signed by an owner or officer. A line of credit may be set by their Credit Department, however, the basis for the line of credit may be changed or canceled at their discretion and the advance payment may be required. Any unpaid balance, upon which payments are not made within 30 days of Shipment, the Customer will pay Humanscale in addition to the unpaid balance interest calculated at the rate of 2% per month from “Past Due” status, without forfeit of Humanscale's right to payment.

All changes to or cancellations of orders placed must be in writing and sent to Customer Service. All other orders may be changed or canceled without penalty if Humanscale is notified at least three (3) weeks before the scheduled ship date. Order changes or cancellations made less than three (3) weeks before the scheduled ship date will incur a minimum change/cancellation fee of 10% of the order line. Irrespective of when notified, changes or cancellations are not binding upon Humanscale until Humanscale issues a written acknowledgment of the change or cancellation. Order changes are defined as the deletion of line items; changes in style, color, quantity or requested ship date; or requesting a later ship date. Order changes that result in a quantity reduction may be subject to an additional small order fee or adjustment in pricing. Under no circumstances will changes or cancellations be accepted on any custom fabric, special order, or custom product orders.

If the shipping container shows any external damage, the customer is instructed to accept delivery of damaged cartons but must note the shipment damage on the freight bill next to the receiver’s signature, at the time of receipt. Humanscale will not issue a full credit for returned product unless the customer takes the following action steps:

• Note damage on the delivery receipt at time of delivery on the freight bill as it is signed and with as much detail as possible (IE: number of cartons, type of damage).

• Contact Humanscale Customer Care using the CONTACT page at their website or at 800-400-0625 immediately (not to exceed 24 hours) of the delivery and advise them of the damage. Humanscale will provide return instructions.

• Upon review of eligible claims, a chargeable replacement order will be processed; credit will be issued after the disposition of the damaged product is determined.
