Edmunds test 200 vehicles per year at their test track, and they also drive each vehicle on a 115-mile real-world test loop of city streets, freeways and winding canyons. The data they gather results in their ratings. They’re based on 30-plus scores that cover performance, comfort, interior, technology, utility and value.

Unfortunately, thy recently lost their main source for reliability data, and so that information has been temporarily removed from their pages. They know this is valuable information for most car shoppers and plan to provide it again in the coming months. In the meantime, They recommend referring to J.D. Power & Associates' list of vehicles rated highly for dependability.

Edmunds is not a bank or a lending institution. They do not offer vehicle loans. Some of their inventory may show an option to pre-qualify for a vehicle loan via their business partner. If you have received a pre-qualification letter, or a letter declining pre-qualification, you will need to contact the lending institution for information about the decision or how to proceed. Edmunds does not have access to the details regarding individual pre-qualification requests.
